The Dance Attack Challenge aims to provide a unique performance opportunity for dancers everywhere.
Our intent is to provide a valuable learning experience for competitors, which is enjoyable for parents, relatives & friends who attend to watch dancers perform in a fun, positive atmosphere, always putting the dancer first. At The Dance Attack Challenge, we encourage our contestants to take a positive approach to competition, and see the experience not as a winning or losing outcome, but as a chance to grow as a dancer and artist.
We endeavor to provide the dancer with the opportunity to present their work in the best possible light, allowing each to build confidence, self esteem & have pride in their performance & abilities.

Our Dance Attack Adjudicators
The Dance Attack Challenge is known for, and prides its self on always hiring current working industry professionals to adjudicate all sections. Prospective adjudicators are selected based upon their knowledge of the current industry that dancers and performers are heading into. The Dance Attack Challenge ensures that all adjudicators are encouraging, professional, mature and able to offer relevant information to dancers to assist them in achieving their goals.

State of the art venue
Civic Theatre in Newcastle is one of Australia's great historic theatres and hosts a wide range of concerts, musicals, plays, dance and other events. It is now home to the Dance Attack Challenge!
Newcastle is Australia's seventh largest city and the 1520 seat Civic Theatre is one of Newcastle's most popular and prestigious venues. Built in the art deco style of the 1920's a visit to the Civic Theatre with its grand marble foyer and staircase, terrazzo balcony, beautiful interiors and historic main auditorium chandelier, makes for a stunning and unforgettable experience.
Stage measurements: 11 metres width x 9.7 metres depth.

Everyone is welcome
Parents & friends are very welcome to come & view the performances, we love to see everyone there to cheer on the competitors. Our competition only charges a relatively small door entry fee. Everyone who has a dancer in the family knows how important it is to feel encouraged & supported by family & friends.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for Teachers
All Teachers registering troupes receive an ID card entitling them free admission to all Dance Attack events & access to the gallery upstairs for private viewing of the troupe sections.

Excellent photography of competitors
The Dance Attack Challenge is well known for the excellent still photography service that it provides to competitors. Capturing the live performances is a specialty of our photographers who use state of the art equipment. The photos are available there to view on the day just after each section. All orders for photos can be purchased there on the day.

Outstanding dvd recording service
We also contract a professional videography service for all of our competitors. Capturing the live performances as requested by our clients – all you need to do is see them prior to the start of the section to have your performance recorded.

Photographer and Videographer will be in attendance during TROUPES, DUOS/TRIOS & SOLOS

Image files are only available for solos/duo sections
Image files are distributed as is, and same day, no post-processing is applied.

• 10 image files for $120
• Complete solo $70 (number of images will vary)
• 1gb flash drives = $10, multiple orders can be placed on the one drive

Files are for private use only, not to be used for commercial purposes
ie:Not for Dance School advertising such as yellow pages websites, flyers etc.
Commercial releases are available to Dance schools for $50 an image,
this is a unrestricted commercial release allowing full use of the image.
